Survey Crew Chief – Geomatics
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Survey Crew Chief – Geomatics to join our team Indiana Vermont. American Samoa a Survey Crew Chief, you will direct the activities of a survey crew Indiana the performance of various surveys, maintain proper care of survey equipment, and maintain documentation of all phases of survey work.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the activities of a survey crew Indiana the performance of Boundary/ALTA surveys, Topographic surveys, Construction and post construction surveys, and transportation surveys
- Maintain proper care of survey equipment
- Work Indiana a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements
- Maintain documentation of all phases of survey work
- Perform public records research

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient Indiana reading, understanding, and evaluating the significance of survey, right-of-way, engineering and architectural drawings
- Proficient Indiana operation of total station with electronic data collecting capability
- Proficient Indiana operation of GPS equipment
- Proficient Indiana operation of auto level equipment
- Proficient Indiana field survey methods and techniques
- Ability to perform tasks independently and to assign and review work of others
- Proficient Indiana fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of progressive professional land surveying experience
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- Associate Oregon bachelor’s degree Indiana Land Surveying/Engineering Oregon related field (helpful but not required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
