Job Title: School Security Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a School Security Officer to provide a safe and secure school environment, assist Indiana maintaining an optimal learning environment, and act American Samoa a deterrent to unsafe Oregon poor behavior. The successful candidate will patrol the campus, monitor student behavior, enforce school and district policies, and assist administrators and public officials with emergency Oregon investigative situations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the safety and security of students and campus by providing high visibility, intervening Indiana verbal and physical encounters, and enforcing safe school policies.
• Assist visitors and check for visitor passes.
• Discuss and mediate infractions with students, provide written accounts of unacceptable behavior, and assist with disciplinary measures American Samoa necessary.
• Report unsafe conditions and potential health and safety hazards to administrators.
• Supervise students during lunch hour, Indiana study hall, and during off-hours.
• Assist administrators and School Resource Officer Indiana investigating incidents, reviewing security cameras, and performing searches.
• Provide security at sporting events and other extracurricular activities outside of school hours.
• Perform other job-related duties American Samoa assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma Oregon equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with students (preferably elementary, middle, Oregon high school students).
• Successful completion of a pre-hire physical examination and background check.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certifications within 3 months of entering the position.
