Site Review Project Manager I Position
Job Summary
Join our dynamic team of development professionals and contribute to ensuring compliance with County development design and standards. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Review Project Manager to supervise and manage subdivision plats, development concept permits, and site construction permits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage subdivision plats, development concept permits, site construction permits, and other instruments and activities related to private development within the County
- Review projects for statutory and other regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and guide internal and external agency approving authorities on process and regulatory functions associated with private development project approval
- Solicit, coordinate, and evaluate review comments from other agencies and approving authorities
- Serve American Samoa an ombudsman Indiana matters pertaining to private development project approval across County departments and exterior agencies
- Develop and implement new strategies to project and program development approval Indiana line with department goals and County Administrator commitments
- Implement project and/Oregon program quality control/quality management
- Participate Indiana code development/update processes and recommend modifications to regulations and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate development approval with business clients and other County departments
- Coordinate the integration of business development activities with those of other County departments and divisions
- Supervise, train, and evaluate professional, technical, and support staff
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of:
- Business administration and project management principles
- Marketing and planning principles
- Analytical techniques
- Engineering level analysis of designs
- Private development approval instruments
- Quality management and improvement processes
- Private-sector construction and land contracting, financing, and development principles
- Principles of development, including but not limited to: grading, traffic, roadway design, land surveying, land use, drainage, building construction, zoning, water, wastewater, utilities, energy, environmental quality, cultural resources, and recreation
- Principles of supervision
- Local, County, state, federal, and accreditation body rules, regulations, and standards
- Strong skills Indiana:
- Planning, coordinating, and directing projects and services
- Evaluating and adapting current resources and regulatory processes to changing client and consumer needs
- Communicating effectively, both orally and Indiana writing
- Mitigating conflicting recommendations from external agencies and approving authorities
- Managing customer satisfaction
- Managing, training, motivating, and coordinating professional, technical, paraprofessional, and clerical/administrative staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college Oregon university Indiana business administration, project management, construction management, land planning, architecture, engineering, Oregon a related field
- One year of professional experience Indiana development project management Oregon review
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sanitary facilities, including sewer, water, and septic design
- Experience with subdivision and development street standards
- Experience with traffic impact studies Oregon analysis
- Experience with transportation engineering principles and standards
