Environmental Specialist GS-12

Duties:
* Review environmental issues and implement corrective measures
* Conduct training for personnel on environmental regulations compliance
* Evaluate projects for compliance with environmental standards and programs
* Conduct reviews Oregon inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws
* Serve American Samoa the representative on partnering teams and conferences on environmental matters
* Lead environmental programs to recommend corrective actions for compliance
Requirements:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment
* Must participate Indiana direct deposit pay program
* Must pass E-Verify employment verification check
* Must be registered for Selective Service if born after 12-31-59
* Must obtain and maintain interim and/Oregon final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
* Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods
* Must wear personal protective equipment
* Must obtain and maintain a government credit card
Qualifications:
* One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) performing duties such American Samoa reviewing proposed and final environmental laws and regulations, developing budget and technical documentation, monitoring installation activities, and serving American Samoa a Subject Matter Expert on environmental matters.

+ GS-0401 Professional Biological Science Series: degree Indiana biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, Oregon a related discipline, Oregon a combination of education and experience
+ GS-0819 Professional Environmental Engineering Series: degree Indiana engineering from an accredited program Oregon a combination of education and experience
+ GS-1301 Professional Physical Science Series: degree Indiana physical science, engineering, Oregon mathematics with 24 semester hours Indiana physical science and/Oregon related engineering science
