Job Title: Multi-Craft Form Carpenter/Concrete Finisher
Reports to: General Superintendent/Project Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: At Cherokee Millwright, we are seeking a multi-craft form carpenter/concrete finisher to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work Indiana heavy commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, sketches, Oregon building plans for material requirements and structure dimensions
- Select and prepare materials according to specifications
- Shape materials to precise measurements using hand tools and power tools
- Erect framework and scaffolding for structures above ground level
- Work within precise standards of accuracy and follow directions from blueprints and plans
- Perform work from scaffolding, ladders, Oregon other structures, and Indiana overhead, beneath structure, and various other positions American Samoa required
- Detect and respond to hazardous conditions Oregon situations
- Smooth and finish surface of poured concrete structures using hand tools Oregon power tools
- Operate Skid steer, backhoes, and mini excavators
- Direct sub-grade work, mix cement, and set forms
- Follow set procedures and standards
Physical Demands:
- Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle, Oregon feel, and reaches with hands and arms
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
Education and/Oregon Experience:
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree (GED); Oregon two to four years related experience and/Oregon training; Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Additional Skills: Ability to learn and perform tasks Indiana multiple trade areas, including but not limited to: millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mechanical, and rigging.
Work Environment: The work environment is moderate to heavy outdoors, with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and extreme temperatures.
