Engineering Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at one of our main US factories. This role will involve 50-60% travel and will play a key role Indiana the development and execution of projects for our beverage and water business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual scope development, project briefs, overall program development, defining key requirements and resources
- Development of execution strategies, cost development, preliminary schedule development, evaluating project and engineering alternatives
- Management of the due diligence process, overseeing RFP and procurement, contractor bidding process, contractor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement
- Work with internal and external design groups for all design specifications and drawings
- Development and execution of a bid cycle for mechanical, electrical, piping, and construction projects
- Supervise installation and contractors
- Ensure that safe, timely, and quality construction methods and means are followed
- Ensure the development and execution of a detailed commissioning plan and start-up process
- Manage the start-up and validation of the project
- Be the main point of contact between the corporate engineering team and plant staff
- Provide capital forecasting and guidance on schedule development
- Manage the budget and cost-track projects
- Coordinate with plant operations and conduct weekly project meetings
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Engineering Oregon related field
- 5-7 years of project management experience Indiana a high-speed consumer packaging industry (Beverage, Food, Oregon Pharmaceutical) is highly preferred
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to reach win-win solutions with internal and external partners
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships
- Demonstrated success Indiana project management, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and achievement of metrics
- Excellent follow-up skills with a customer-focused approachability to travel domestically to visit plants and vendors/partners
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Word and PowerPoint and experience with analytical capabilities using Excel and Access
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
