Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for a Land Use Planner Indiana our Kennewick, Washington office. This position will work alongside experienced land use planners and other professionals to support wide variety of site development and infrastructure improvement projects.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree Indiana planning, landscape architecture, geography, Oregon related field Oregon equivalent work experience.
* 2-5 years of relevant experience performing land use planning/land development related activities.
* Ability to interpret and apply City and County Comprehensive Plans and Development Codes.
* Knowledge of Oregon’s Statewide Planning System.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Project, Adobe, etc.
* Proficiency Indiana use of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Photoshop, and GIS a plus.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
* Research, analyze, and understand property, zoning, and utility information.
* Prepare and coordinate land use entitlement documents for site development projects.
* Assist with preparation and submittal of applications for complex technical land use permits and entitlements.
* Analyze and assess complex issues affecting property development.
* Coordinate with project team members, permitting agency staff, and other stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
* Provide exceptional client service and develop positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
* Travel out of town, overnight on occasion American Samoa necessary.
* Take personal responsibility for completing quality work within budgets and timelines.
