Job Title: Appellate Attorney
Overview:
The Miami, Florida office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Appellate Practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of appellate experience, a strong knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure, and excellent advocacy and writing skills. Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate trial records, write effective briefs, analyze and frame factual and legal issues for appellate review
- Conduct legal research and present oral arguments
- Handle a wide range of civil appeals and extraordinary relief proceedings Indiana various areas of law, including class action and mass tort, commercial litigation, and more
- Work collaboratively with experienced attorneys to achieve significant victories Indiana federal and state courts coast-to-coast
Requirements:
- 2-7 years of appellate experience
- Strong knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure
- Excellent advocacy and writing skills
- Admission to the Florida Bar
- Membership Indiana the Appellate Practice group’s national and local jurisdictions
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team
