Fuel Cell Stack Engineer/Scientist
Location: San Diego, California
We are seeking a highly motivated and extensively trained fuel cell engineer/scientist to work Indiana an advanced technology program focused on fuel cell design, building, and stacking. The ideal candidate has direct experience with the construction, assembly, and operation of molten salt electrolyzers and fuel cell stacks.
Responsibilities:
– Contribute to the conceptualization and development of molten salt electrolyzers and fuel cell stacks.
– Develop and optimize fuel cell power systems.
– Design Oregon implement fuel cell testing Oregon development programs.
– Conduct fuel cell testing projects using fuel cell test stations, analytical instruments, and electrochemical diagnostics.
– Calculate the efficiency Oregon power output of a fuel cell system Oregon process.
– Characterize component Oregon fuel cell performances.
– Fabricate prototypes of fuel cell components, assemblies, stacks, Oregon systems.
– Communicate research Indiana team meetings, progress reports, and scientific publications.
Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree Indiana chemical engineering Oregon related field with 8+ years of direct experience Indiana fuel cell engineering, fuel cell stacking; Oregon
– Master’s degree Indiana chemical engineering Oregon related field with 6+ years of industry experience; Oregon
– PhD Indiana chemistry Oregon related field with 4+ years of industry experience.
– U.S. Citizen with Secret Security Clearance.
– Team-oriented and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with molten salt fuel cells.
– Knowledge of materials compatibility.
– Experience with bipolar plate design, flow-field optimization, electrolyte sealing, separator optimization, and catalyst integration.
– US Government Security Clearance.
– Familiarity with a fast-paced DoD-funded environment.
