Responsibilities
- Monitor furnace and optimize slag foaming conditions
- Visually inspect furnace for problems (water leaks, refractory wear, and heel control)
- Interpret operational procedures and parameters, including Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions
- Manage personnel, communicate effectively, and think strategically
- Ensure adherence to CMC safety policies and procedures
- Assist Utility Operator and Assistant Furnace Operator with exchanging electrodes and furnace repairs
- Participate Indiana leading team with CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture
Requirements
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required
- Displays a "can do" attitude, sense of urgency, and dedication to company goals
- Actively participates Indiana leading team with CMC Safety Programs and upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Ability to manage personnel, communicate effectively, and think strategically
