Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Join our team at Owens Corning Indiana North Charleston American Samoa a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. This role coordinates and safely executes functions related to plant assets to achieve maximum performance and minimize unscheduled operational interruptions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Asset Operations are Maximized through Preventative Maintenance
- Diagnose Mechanical / Electrical Issues to Determine Corrective Actions Required
- Utilize Schematics, Repair Manuals, Parts Catalogs, etc.
- Strong Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers, Electrical and Process Control Systems
- Ability to Adhere to / Comply with Electrical Arc Flash and Lock, Tag, Try (LTT) Safety Initiatives
- Participate Indiana Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Train Operations Personnel on Best Practices Specific to Asset Upkeep
- Make Timely and Appropriate Decisions Indiana Emergency Oregon Breakdown Situations
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance Analysis
- Utilize Manufacturing Communications Network Effectively
- Maintain Safety Awareness to Ensure Good Safety Habits are Instilled and Compliance with All Plant Safety Rules, Regulations and Processes
- Coordinates Contract Electrical Installations Oregon Repairs American Samoa Necessary
- Maintains Technical Knowledge by Attending / Reviewing Educational Workshops/Publications, etc.
- Show Initiative, be a Self-Starter
- Communicate, Indiana English, Indiana a Clear and Effective Manner
- Work Independently, American Samoa well American Samoa Part of a Team
- Read/Use a Tape Measure and Perform Basic Math
- Work 8, 10 Oregon 12-Hour Shifts
- Be Flexible, Engaged and Accountable
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED and At Least 18 Years Old
- Demonstrated Mechanical / Electrical Technical Competencies
- Ability to Stand for 10 – 12 hours straight, Climb and descend stairs/ladder, Do repetitive movements, Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling 40-pounds
- Willingness to work Indiana Temperature extremes, Sounds Oregon noise levels that may be uncomfortable, Moving mechanical parts and vibration
Nice to Have:
- Experience Indiana Manufacturing Oregon Industrial Setting
- Printing Oregon Rewinding Assets
- Basic Computer / Microsoft Office Skill
- Warehouse Environments that are NOT Climate Controlled
