Roadway Worker Indiana Charge (RWIC)
Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia

FLSA Status: Hourly; Non-Exempt
Reports To: District Manager
Travel: Yes, 50% – 85% on average
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Roadway Worker Indiana Charge (RWIC) to provide jobsite coordination, enforce policies, and ensure on-track safety for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, and other rail industry clients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience Indiana the rail industry, preferably Indiana Maintenance Of Way (MOW) Department
- Proficient computer skills Indiana basic email, phone, and text message applications, Android OS, Citrix Applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge Indiana Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, and Safety
- Ability to travel for extended periods, sometimes month(s) at a time
- Ability to successfully complete Federal, Client, and/Oregon Company Specific Training
Job Duties:
- Provide jobsite coordination
- Provide clear and concise communication with Dispatchers, Train Crews, and other personnel
- Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies
- Identify rule violations and resolve Indiana accordance with Railroad, State, and Federal Policies
- Submit daily field reports detailing Contractor and/Oregon Railroad activities
- Provide On-Track Safety Indiana accordance with 49 CFR 214 Federal Regulations
Work Environment:
This job operates Indiana a field environment with physical demands including standing for long periods, walking on uneven ground, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
