Maintenance Technician

Greystar is a leading global real estate company seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work for one of our stabilized properties Indiana Charleston, South Carolina. The Maintenance Technician will ensure the inside and external buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and complete work orders generated from resident requests for service, and routine upkeep on the community.
• Oversee and complete the "make-ready" process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Develop standards for the cleanliness and overall appearance of the community’s grounds and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work performed by other service team members and vendors to assess effectiveness and develop corrective action plans.
• Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Support cost-cutting and expense control programs.
• Conduct Greystar safety meetings and ensure community compliance with OSHA and safety related laws and requirements.
• Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of previous maintenance experience within the property management industry.
• Yardi experience, bilingual (Spanish), and valid driver’s license preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a team.
