Construction Scale Operator
Location: Based out of Columbus, Ohio, with travel to other locations including Fredericktown, St. Louisville, Upper Sandusky, Wooster, and Woodville.
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating scales and associated computers to record weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles, collecting fees from customers, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate scale equipment to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles and determine charges
- Record customer and load information into a computerized system
- Accurately calculate charges for customers based on load weight/size, content, area, etc.
- Receive payment from customers, provide receipts, and document transactions
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide information on facility procedures
- Balance daily receipts and maintain accurate records
- Perform routine clerical duties and run reports American Samoa necessary
- Maintain all paperwork related to scales/facility
- Provide excellent customer service and professional interaction with internal and external customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED equivalent
- Experience Indiana aggregates industry preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately determine charges and handle cash transactions
- Computer proficiency Indiana Windows and Microsoft applications
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively Indiana a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and/Oregon holidays
