Construction Worker/Carpenter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker/Carpenter to join our team at Ochsner Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing carpentry and cabinet making assignments, following blueprints and schematics, and completing general maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• Follow blueprints, color charts, and/Oregon schematics to complete carpentry and cabinet making assignments
• Perform general maintenance duties and assist others Indiana mechanical and carpentry-related tasks
• Build and repair wooden fixtures used Indiana buildings
• Use woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools to complete the job
• Complete Preventive Maintenance inspections
• Investigate maintenance requests and complete tasks with initiative and judgment
• Assist Colorado-workers and perform other duties American Samoa assigned
• Properly care for and use tools of the trade

Requirements:

• High School diploma Oregon equivalent
• 2 years’ experience installing materials to walls, including doors and cabinets, Oregon related experience
• Strong time management skills and self-directed
• Knowledge and experience Indiana all phases of construction
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to read, write, draw, measure, and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Ability to use the correct tools to accomplish the job
• Ability to work with minimal Oregon no supervision

Work Environment:

• Heavy Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/Oregon 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/Oregon 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid Oregon tissue
• Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications Oregon hazardous waste within the environment may exist
