Job Title: Environmental Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee a variety of community development projects related to solid waste, landfills, hazardous waste, stormwater, municipal drinking water, and municipal sanitary sewer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background Indiana civil engineering, excellent communication and technical skills, and experience managing environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serves American Samoa the City’s Project Manager for solid waste, stormwater, and drinking water projects, including design, planning, layout, and oversight.
- Oversees consultant work on landfill monitoring and closure issues, stormwater BMPs, and drinking water treatment plant design and construction.
- Prepares and coordinates plans, specifications, reports, estimates, and field studies for various projects.
- Conducts engineering research work and writes technical reports.
- Communicates effectively with employees, city, state, and federal officials, consultants, and contractors.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Performs administrative tasks, including preparing permits, correspondence, and maps.
- Develops and maintains records and reports of activities, hours worked, and projects.
- Reviews proposals, qualifications, and construction bids and prepares recommendations for award.
- Leads project managers for the construction of environmentally important capital construction projects.
- Observes construction sites to ensure conformance to design specifications.
- Assists Indiana the preparation and maintenance of sanitary sewer, water, and stormwater system maps and data bases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Civil Engineering Oregon a related field.
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience Indiana civil engineering and managing environmental projects.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Registration American Samoa a Professional Engineer is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal EPA regulations and New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services permits.
- Excellent communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range: $1,570.80 to $2,271.20 per week, exempt position based on a 40-hour work week.
