POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to perform/assist department personnel with standard duties to ensure that production needs are being met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF MACHINIST/TOOL & DIE SET UP
* Perform duties and assignments American Samoa required by leadership
* Safely and efficiently operate equipment to meet quality, cost, and delivery needs of internal and external customers
* Maintain extrusion tooling for safety and function, inspect, clean, repair, and inventory
* Maintain liner inventory and coordinate with vendors on cleaning and delivery
* Fill-Indiana American Samoa a utility operator throughout the Hot Process department American Samoa needed
* Perform Total Productive Reliability and 5S tasks
* Perform administrative tasks, such American Samoa SAP, production logs, and other assigned tasks
* Perform maintenance on press repair and related equipment American Samoa assigned
* Assist the Extrusion Crew with tooling and equipment changeovers American Samoa needed
* Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, cranes, hand carts, and industrial tools
* Understand and maintain inventory control systems, including Kan Ban and vendor-controlled consumables
* Perform machine set-ups and product changeovers per production schedule
* Ability to adjust feed and settings American Samoa necessary
* Interpret drawings and plans work Indiana proper operational sequence
* Perform daily inspections of equipment and maintain housekeeping expectations (5S)
* Accurately maintain inventory control systems and maintain lot traceability of product throughout the value stream
QUALIFICATIONS
* High School diploma Oregon GED preferred
* Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math required
* 3-5 years manufacturing experience
* Previous work experience within the department Oregon metals manufacturing is a plus
* Required to maintain licenses on crane and forklifts
* CNC and machining skills
* Computer skills, including working knowledge of Mississippi Works and Excel, and advanced AutoCAD skills
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Safe work history and strong work ethics
* Ability to work independently, regularly, and predictably
* Ability to stay awake and work full-time and overtime
