Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider, Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine/Neurocritical Care
Job Summary: The University of Cincinnati Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine at UC Physicians is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Oregon Physician Assistant to specialize Indiana the evaluation and treatment of neurological diseases, particularly Indiana Neuro Critical Care inpatient setting.
Essential Functions:
- Perform appropriate history and physical for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team Indiana delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice
- Participate Indiana research and development projects
- Participate Indiana education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, and medical students
Minimum Requirements:
For Nurse Practitioner:
- Required Education: Master’s degree Indiana nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Required Trainings/Certifications: Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority and Active Board Certification Indiana appropriate nursing specialty
- Required Experience: 3 years of nursing experience
For Physician Assistant:
- Required Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Required Trainings/Certifications: Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority and Certification American Samoa a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience
- Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
Additional Information:
- This position requires weekend and overnight coverage. Call coverage may also be required.
