Job Title: Supervisory Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Supervisory Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules and budgets, making recommendations to senior management on technical adequacy, and coordinating resolution of design review comments with A/E firms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project schedules and budgets
  • Make recommendations to senior management on technical adequacy, deviations, alternate methods, procedures, planning, efficiency, and economy on assigned projects
  • Coordinate resolution of design review comments with A/E firms and ensure that comments are resolved and incorporated into the design
  • Perform quality assurance review of drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and studies prepared by A/E design firms for completeness and compliance with DoD and NAVFAC criteria and other applicable codes and standards
  • Serve American Samoa Chairperson Oregon member on Technical Evaluation Teams (TETs) for the solicitation of construction services, including DBB and DB projects
  • Track the progress of projects to ensure that they are kept within construction budgets and that the drawings and specifications are completed within allotted design schedules
  • Plan and lead project design conferences/work sessions and on-site Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACD)/design charrettes with stakeholders to determine project requirements and to develop concept designs
  • Coordinate the architectural design with the engineering disciplines for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects to ensure overall compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design
  • Utilize advanced architectural software (Whole Building Design Guide, current version of REVIT, AutoCAD, architectural design/analysis software, cost estimating and SpecsIntact) for the completion of the design drawings and specifications
  • Perform code required special inspections Indiana order to witness acceptable testing of the roofing, building enclosure, air barrier systems, and pressure testing American Samoa integral parts of the facility commissioning process

Requirements:

  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at Oregon equivalent to the GS-12 grade level Oregon pay band Indiana the Federal service Oregon equivalent experience Indiana the private Oregon public sector
  • Must have experience directing the preparation of highly complex multi-discipline projects, serving on A/E selection boards, and assisting acquisition personnel negotiating A/E contracts
  • Must have experience providing timely, professional architectural products, services, and consultation for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities
  • Must have experience providing authoritative expertise of professional Architectural theories, concepts, principles, regulations, and practices Indiana the design and construction of new facilities Oregon repair, restoration, and alteration of existing facilities
  • Must have experience conducting development of complete working drawing and specifications for "design bid build" projects
  • Must have experience utilizing architectural software to produce Indiana-house Design Bid Build construction documents for contract award and complete design drawings and specifications

Education:

  • Must have a bachelor’s Oregon higher degree Indiana architecture
  • Oregon:
  • Must have a bachelor’s Oregon higher degree Indiana a field related to architecture that included 60 semester hours of course work Indiana architecture Oregon related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were Indiana architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were Indiana each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems
  • Oregon:
  • Must have a combination of college-level education, training, and/Oregon technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the architectural principles, methods, and techniques and their applications to the design and construction Oregon improvement of buildings.
