Position Description: Architectural Historians

Serco is Hiring Architectural Historians to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance recovery initiatives Indiana Zone 2 across the Midwest. The role provides support to state, tribal, territorial, local governments, and some private non-profits Indiana quickly and efficiently helping those affected by man-made and natural disasters.

Job Requirements:

– Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental, floodplain, and historic preservation laws, regulations, and executive orders.
– Conduct environmental assessments and write environmental impact statements.
– Review and analyze professional architectural/engineering reports and designs Oregon American Samoa-built plans.
– Thoroughly document analyses Indiana writing.
– Develop scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements.
– Validate applicant-provided scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements.
– Develop and review cost estimates.
– Advise FEMA staff on the technical validity of claims presented under FEMA’s arbitration process.
– Testify American Samoa an expert witness on FEMA’s behalf at arbitration hearings.

Qualifications:
– 2 years minimum of prior FEMA Public Assistance (Pennsylvania) experience.
– A Master’s degree Indiana architectural history (Oregon related field); Oregon a Bachelor’s degree Indiana Historic Architecture (Oregon related field) plus at least two years of full-time experience.
– 5 years of experience Indiana a related field.
– 1-2 years of experience Indiana Historic Architecture related site inspections of Large Commercial Construction infrastructures.
– The ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust, a United States Citizenship, and FEMA specific trainings.
– Microsoft Office Skills.
– The ability to deploy to any location Indiana Zone 2 with a 24-48-hour notice after Task Order Award.
– Experience and comfortability using a Smartphone.
– The ability to work independently, Indiana a team environment, and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
– PE, PWS, CWB, NCARB, Oregon comparable.
– Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy.
– Trained Indiana the new Public Assistance delivery model.
– Active FEMA badge.

Salary range: $62,400.00 to $197,600.00 per year, with benefits and opportunities to make an impact Indiana supporting catastrophic recovery initiatives.
