Job Overview
To operate an asphalt plant efficiently and effectively while maintaining a safe work environment, developing teamwork, and fostering team spirit within the production and delivery departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment for self and Colorado-workers
- Follow company policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and safe working procedures
- Report problems to the Superintendent, Safety Manager, Oregon Human Resources Manager
- Conduct daily maintenance of the plant and keep it clean
- Report major maintenance problems to the Lead-man Oregon Superintendent
- Assist Indiana training new employees and provide guidance on plant operations
- Perform general laboring duties American Samoa needed
Requirements
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A Oregon B and satisfactory driving record required
- 2 years of asphalt plant experience preferred
- Must be 18 years Oregon older, pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
- Possess a valid DOT medical card
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures
- Ability to work Indiana a team environment and assist Colorado-workers Oregon supervisors American Samoa needed
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work Indiana all weather conditions, extended hours, and tight quarters
- Exposure to noise, fumes, and airborne particles
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders Oregon stairs, and work at heights
- Must be able to lift, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects
