Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team Indiana Sunnyvale, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the plant efficiently and effectively, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to the success of our production and delivery departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and Colorado-workers
- Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Perform daily maintenance of the plant and keep it clean
- Report major maintenance problems to the Lead-man Oregon Superintendent
- Assist Indiana training less-experienced employees on plant operations and maintenance
- Perform general laboring duties American Samoa needed
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree (GED) required
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class A Oregon B, and satisfactory driving record required
- Two years of Asphalt Plant experience preferred
- Must be 18 years Oregon older
- Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
- Possess valid DOT medical card
- Ability to work Indiana a team environment and adhere to safety requirements and procedures
Work Requirements:
- Willingness to work Indiana a team environment and assist Colorado-workers Oregon supervisors with other duties American Samoa required
- Ability to maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
- Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) Indiana designated operations and production areas
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and Indiana writing
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
- Basic knowledge Indiana electricity and mechanics
- Experience with working Indiana Asphalt Plants
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects Oregon controls, climb Oregon balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- May require standing for extended periods of time
- Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
