Job Title: Aircraft Sheet Metal Assembly Specialist
Job Summary:
Build and/Oregon mate structures where assembly is coordinated Oregon built with tooling, applying elementary knowledge of aircraft assembly, structures assembly, and installation practice and procedure. Perform operations such American Samoa riveting, bolting, screwing, and attaching fittings and installations required to obtain a finished assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install structural components, functional units, and electrical components
- Perform minor reforming, crimping, trimming, and filing to facilitate fit
- Work with jigs, fixtures, and assembly equipment
- Read and interpret detail, assembly, and installation blueprints and documents
- Drill, ream, and mill rivets to specified tolerances
- Install typical items such American Samoa conduit, junction boxes, instrument panels, wire harnesses, tubing for hydraulic and air conditioning systems, mechanical units, and sealing compounds
- Demonstrate an understanding of work procedures, standard practices, and safety guidelines
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of installations American Samoa necessary
- Fabricate structural items such American Samoa clips, angles, and gussets
Requirements:
- 2 years of aircraft sheet metal assembly experience Oregon equivalent training
- Ability to drill and rivet thin sheet metal and read and use aircraft detail and assembly blueprints
- Completed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License acquired through completion of accredited courses of study from aeronautical technical institutions
- Basic to advanced blueprint reading skills
- Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and meet production schedules
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent; associate’s Oregon bachelor’s degree preferred
Working Conditions:
The work is typically performed Indiana a manufacturing plant environment, and the employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment. On-site full-time work is required, with no telecommuting opportunity.
