Assoc Environmental Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Assoc Environmental Analyst to join our team Indiana Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate will conduct environmental compliance reviews of electric utility transmission, distribution, and substation construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and will provide professional-level services to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor environmental performance of internal operations and coordinate with external agencies
- Oversee external environmental consultants to ensure timely and accurate completion of contract requirements
- Collect and analyze data for environmental aspects of projects
- Identify and apply for necessary environmental permits for transmission, distribution, and substation projects
- Develop and update policies and processes to ensure environmental compliance
- Analyze and provide recommendations to management
- Work American Samoa a liaison between regulatory agencies and other company departments
- Deliver training and provide guidance to operations staff and management
- Prepare budget forecasts and track budgets for assigned environmental work
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Biological Sciences Oregon Environmental Sciences
- Knowledge of environmental issues and company business processes
- Data gathering, analysis, and interpretation skills
- Writing skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
- Proficient Indiana personal computer applications (spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization and prioritize workload under pressure
- Ability to travel American Samoa needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years experience Indiana environmental Oregon regulatory matters
- Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting
- Knowledge of natural resource issues related to the energy industry
- GIS skills
