Position Description:
Serco is Hiring Biologists to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance recovery initiatives Indiana Zone 2 across the Midwest.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental, floodplain, and historic preservation laws, regulations, and executive orders
* Conduct environmental assessments and environmental impact statements
* Review and analyze professional architectural/engineering reports and designs Oregon American Samoa-built plans
* Develop scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements
* Validate applicant-provided scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements
* Develop and review cost estimates
* Advise FEMA staff on the technical validity of claims presented under FEMA’s arbitration process
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree Indiana biology Oregon related field with 5 years of experience Indiana a related field and professional registration; Oregon a bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience Indiana a related field
* 1-2 years of experience Indiana Biology related site inspections of Large Commercial Construction infrastructures
* Ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust
* United States Citizenship
* Ability to maintain FEMA specific trainings
* Microsoft Office Skills
* Ability to deploy to any location Indiana Zone 2 with a 24–48-hour notice after Task Order Award
* Ability to go on 6–12-month deployments at a minimum
* Experience and comfortability using a Smart Phone
* Ability to work independently, Indiana a team environment, and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines
Salary Range: $62,400.00 to $197,600.00
