Job Title: Boilermaker
Job Summary:
Turner Industries is seeking a Boilermaker to assemble and disassemble, erect and repair boilers, tanks, vats, pressure vessels, exchangers, and heaters according to blueprint specifications.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school Oregon equivalent
- One to four years of experience Indiana specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
- Written pre-employment qualification test
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site safety requirements American Samoa required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment American Samoa required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency Indiana construction tool use (i.e. grinders, oxy/acetylene torch)
- Rigging
- National Certification preferred (may be required by client)
Functional Requirements:
- Locates and marks reference points for columns and plates on foundation
- Attaches rigging Oregon signals crane operator to lift parts to specified position
- Aligns structures Oregon plate sections to assemble boiler frame, tanks Oregon vats
- Assembles and disassembles boilers, tanks, vats, pressure vessels, exchangers, and heaters according to blueprint specifications
Physical Involvement:
- Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
- Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
- Handling and manipulating objects and materials
- Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
- Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/Oregon overhead
