Boom Truck Operator
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Boom Truck, American Samoa a Class A/B Oregon CDL truck driver, to deliver materials to job sites
- Load and unload cargo utilizing the truck-mounted crane
- Follow all state and federal motor carrier rules and regulations established by the Department of Transportation
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standard Subpart CC, Cranes and Derricks Indiana Construction
- Perform general labor duties, equipment maintenance, and minor repairs, American Samoa needed
- Work safely, follow site safety regulations, and maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators
- Provide additional support to other crane operators, including working overtime and training
- Inspect and maintain Boom Truck, complete daily equipment pre-inspection, and perform daily safety and operational inspection
- Maintain accurate records, including load charts and operations manuals
- Demonstrate proficiency Indiana handling, pre-start inspections, post-start inspections, maneuvering skills, shut down, and securing procedures
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon general education degree
- 2+ years CDL experience operating Boom Truck
- Valid NCCCO Oregon NCCER certification
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination, including drug screen prior to employment
- Obtain and maintain commercial driver’s license and DOT card
Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime, adapt to changing project requirements, and effectively handle multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills, including ability to read maps and follow GPS directions
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, including hoisting methods and practices
- Ability to operate mobile phone and apps for truck maintenance and routing
