Boom Truck Operator
SUMMARY:
Responsible for safely delivering and unloading construction materials, operating a boom truck American Samoa a Class A/B Oregon CDL truck driver, and performing duties American Samoa a crane operator on heavy construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain clear assignments and instructions from supervisors
- Drive safely to and from job sites and follow motor carrier rules and regulations
- Organize and secure loads for delivery and unloading
- Load and unload cargo using the truck-mounted crane
- Deliver materials to job sites American Samoa instructed
- Operate boom truck with minimal supervision, handling multiple tasks and priorities
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Perform daily equipment pre-inspections and administrative paperwork
- Operate boom truck safely using a thorough understanding of crane/boom operation characteristics and controls
- Assist Indiana other duties American Samoa required while not operating the boom truck
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree
- 2+ years of experience operating a boom truck with a valid CDL and NCCCO Oregon NCCER certification
- Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain a commercial driver’s license and DOT card
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work overtime American Samoa needed and Indiana various weather conditions
- Ability to read maps and follow GPS directions
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and handle multiple priorities
- Appropriately utilize and maintain knowledge of boom truck operations and procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
