Location: Potomac Division Headquarters, Alexandria, Virginia
Position Type: Regular Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $25.00
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine building maintenance activities, including minor plumbing repairs, carpentry work, painting, grounds keeping, landscaping, and snow removal.
* Maintain and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of HVAC, elevator, and mechanical systems.
* Manage the vehicle registration and inspection process, including securing registrations, scheduling inspections, and purchasing routine maintenance.
* Assist with the selection of contractors, architects, and other professionals for building projects.
* Run errands to pick up office supplies, refreshments, and mail/packages from the Post Office.
* Provide shuttle services to and from the airport.
Requirements:
* 2 years of course work from a technical Oregon vocational school Indiana construction, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, and electronics, Oregon equivalent combination of training and experience.
* 2 years’ experience performing maintenance and repair work for commercial buildings and grounds.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate Indiana the English language.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
* Ability to work outdoors daily with exposure to physical discomforts associated with changes Indiana weather.
