Experienced Carpenter – Southwest Region
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team Indiana the Southwest Region, out of the Phoenix/Tempe area. This position will involve constructing, fabricating, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures to meet temporary and permanent building enclosure needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture
- Read building plans and sketches to determine material requirements and dimensions
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other building materials
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
- Clean and maintain the work area and equipment
- Inspect work-Indiana-progress to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards
- Instruct and direct laborers and construction helpers
- Complete basic concrete formwork and place and finish concrete
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program Oregon equivalent training
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials and equipment
- Physical agility to climb ladders, kneel, and reach
- Ability to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away
- Willingness to work Indiana various climate conditions
- Proficiency Indiana using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents
- Basic computer and math skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and self-motivation
