Installer Job Description
Job Summary and Mission:
The installer is responsible for installing flooring products for customers, representing the Carpet One brand, and ensuring quality of product and customer satisfaction.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Handle materials, install Carpet One products, and follow up on job assignments under the supervision of the installation manager Oregon sales manager
- Maintain a level of professionalism and represent the Carpet One brand on the road and with customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace Indiana the installer van and during installation
- Complete installation with attention to detail, following prescribed methods and Carpet One standards
- Fill out and process necessary paperwork before and after installation
- Communicate effectively with the salesperson at the store and with customers to ensure successful installation
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- At least one year of installation experience
- Ability to operate a truck Oregon van, push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds
- Mathematical skills to understand and communicate numerical data and calculate simple figures
- Demonstrated proficiency Indiana planning, organization, and communication skills, and ability to work effectively Indiana teams
Duties:
- Join and seam carpet edges American Samoa necessary
- Cut and trim carpet to fit along wall edges, openings, and projections
- Inspect the surface to be covered and correct any imperfections
- Roll out, measure, mark, and cut carpeting to size
- Plan and execute the installation of carpet and other flooring products
- Install carpet padding and other materials American Samoa necessary
Nice To Haves:
- Proficiency Indiana Autodesk AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and other software related to flooring installation
- Familiarity with specialized tools and equipment related to flooring installation
