Certified Welding Inspector
Manufacturing company seeking Certified Welding Inspectors for onsite position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background Indiana welding inspection, quality control, and compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting onsite testing and inspection of manufactured products to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code
* Maintaining daily inspection records, writing Welder Qualification Records, PQR’s, and WPS’s
* Performing welder certification testing, including destructive testing
* Monitoring welder qualification records and company control processes, procedures, and specifications
* Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and verifying welding equipment and documentation
Requirements:
* Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with at least 3 years of experience
* American Welding Society (AWS) certification with a current, valid certification number
* Ability to identify defects that would affect structural integrity
* Proficiency with Mississippi Office software and ability to produce reports Indiana desired formats
* Strong understanding of industry standards and quality control processes.
