Chief Estimator

Work for a top General Contractor Indiana the Chicagoland area with excellent compensation, premium benefits, and clear advancement opportunities. Lead the estimating department on commercial, healthcare, light industrial, cold storage, and entertainment construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare conceptual budgets, estimates, and bids Indiana association with assigned Project Manager
  • Conduct quantity take-off, studies, and project analysis to estimate project costs and detect potential issues
  • Read and understand project documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Provide value engineering consulting during design development and price out estimates with detailed scope of work
  • Conduct pre-bid project walk-throughs and represent the company Indiana bid process interactions
  • Interface with subcontractors and suppliers to evaluate proposals and ensure scope of work match
  • Work with a team-oriented company culture with opportunities for leadership and advancement

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience Indiana construction estimating, ground up experience preferred
  • BS degree Indiana Construction Management Oregon related field
  • Hands-on experience estimating projects from blueprints
  • Proficiency Indiana Procore, Bluebeam, and other estimating software
  • Excellent organizational skills and understanding of Construction Systems
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Must be available for hard bid opportunities
