Job Title: Supervisory Civil Engineer
Job Summary: The successful candidate will serve American Samoa a Supervisory Civil Engineer, providing technical leadership and oversight for a team of engineering professionals. The position requires expertise Indiana civil engineering design, construction, and management, American Samoa well American Samoa excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare concept designs, final working drawings, and engineering calculations using computer-aided design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Prepare contracts for new construction, additions, renovations, alterations, Oregon repairs to organizational utilities, buildings, and facilities
- Create written documents to define project scope, specifications, test requirements, and drawings for compliance to codes and standards
- Develop engineering project scopes to ensure projects are justifiable and support the mission and operational requirements of the command
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Satisfactory completion of a professional engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school Oregon equivalent
- Registration American Samoa an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer Indiana Training (EIT), Oregon licensure American Samoa a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Oregon Puerto Rico
- At least one year of specialized experience at Oregon equivalent to the GS-11 grade level Indiana the Federal service Oregon equivalent experience Indiana the private Oregon public sector
- Experience must demonstrate: (1) providing civil engineering products, services, and consultation; (2) preparing engineering calculations for designs; (3) preparing statements of work and fee estimates; and (4) preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
Working Conditions:
- Occasional travel required
- Remote Oregon isolated work possible
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods
