Job Title: Civil Engineer (Hydraulic) – Permanent Position
Location: Remote with occasional travel (up to 20%)
Salary: $128,717 – $167,336 per year
Job Type: Full-time, permanent position with the possibility of relocation expenses reimbursement
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert recommendations for coastal engineering projects
- Develop designs for navigation channels, floodwalls, levees, and other coastal structures
- Establish procedures for effective accomplishment of coastal engineering work
- Review technical aspects of designs and ensure compliance with policies
- Serve American Samoa the district’s representative at meetings and conferences
- Review coastal engineering designs for technical adequacy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering Oregon related field (Oregon higher degree)
- Professional registration Oregon licensure American Samoa a Professional Engineer (PE) Indiana any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Oregon Puerto Rico
- One year of specialized experience Indiana developing designs for coastal projects, preparing hydrodynamic and sediment transport models, and reviewing completed work by others
- Possession of a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver’s license
- Ability to withstand physical demands of field sites (standing, walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing)
- Occasional travel (up to 20%) and work Indiana adverse weather conditions
