Structural Engineer Position
Job Summary:
Serves American Samoa a senior staff level Structural Engineer providing technical and subject matter expertise American Samoa Huntington District’s recognized expert. Provides policy interpretation, quality control review, and authoritative guidance on contractor-provided products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages design memos and construction drawings for large water resource projects
- Develops and executes the Hydraulic Steel Structures Program, coordinating with A-E resources
- Establishes project scope, criteria, schedules, and budgets, and maintains corporate commitment
- Provides input on the district’s operating budget and Headquarter guidance compliance
- Performs Quality Control and Quality Assurance on Indiana-house and A-E work, ensuring program products meet district requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering from an ABET-accredited program Oregon equivalent
- One year of specialized experience providing technical advisement on structural engineering designs and producing construction drawings and specifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license/registration required
- Must submit a copy of PE license/registration and clearly list it on resume
