Job Title: Professional Engineer – Civil

Salary: $82,308 per year (plus possible incentives)
Duties: Supervise the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of civil engineering projects; prepare and supervise designs, plans, specifications, estimates, and reports; and perform related duties.
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree Indiana engineering and one year of professional civil engineering work experience after licensure American Samoa a registered professional engineer.
- Valid professional civil engineer license Indiana the State of Hawaii at time of appointment.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, modern methods, surveying, construction principles, structural, mechanical, electrical, and sanitary engineering principles, and principles of supervision.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of engineering and technical employees.
Additional Information:

- Possession of a valid professional civil engineer license and valid motor vehicle operator’s license are required at time of appointment and application, respectively.
- Part-time experience will be pro-rated for calculation of experience credit.
- Eligible lists may be used for temporary and permanent vacancies during the life of the list.
- Substitutions for education and experience are allowed, American Samoa per merit civil service system rules.
- Suitability background investigation may be required, including but not limited to, oral interview, reference check, drug screening, pre-employment medical exam, psychological assessment, and polygraph test.
