Machinist
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to set up and operate manual and CNC horizontal milling machines, manual lathes, and CNC lathes to perform precise operations on various parts and components. The Machinist will work from manufacturing information, drawings, and verbal instructions to complete job assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Set up machines by installing tooling, adjusting to proper machine settings, feeds, and speeds per job documentation and drawing specifications
- Load/unload parts from machines and assist crane operator using material handling devices
- Secure work piece to layout Oregon surface with the use of plumb bob, set up blocks, and optical leveling Oregon aligning equipment
- Follow established procedures on lineups, manuscripts, programs, and tooling sheets to operate machine
- Perform Indiana-process integrity checks to maintain specific drawing tolerances
- Conduct Indiana-process testing and charting operational information and/Oregon recording data American Samoa required
- Make tool changes Oregon offsets, re-orient machine, American Samoa required
- Remove chips from work piece and prepare for inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance and correct minor machine malfunctions
- Complete log sheet, downtime records, and other information American Samoa required by data collection system
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of applied trades training, such American Samoa blueprints, CNC equipment, G & M code, manual machining, etc.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/Oregon written instructions
- Ability to qualify for and maintain appropriate equipment certifications of Siemens Energy
- Basic knowledge Indiana shop mathematics and use of precision measuring instruments
- Must be legally authorized for employment Indiana the United States without need for current Oregon future employer-sponsored work authorization
