Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Surety underwriter to join our Commercial and Small Contract Surety department Indiana a field marketing territory Indiana Ohio. This role involves establishing relationships with agencies and producers, classifying agencies based on Surety volume and potential, developing and executing marketing plans, and promoting retention and growth of Commercial Surety lines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute marketing plans to achieve business objectives
• Visit a minimum of 200 agencies per year to promote business growth and retention
• Develop and maintain a book of business for Commercial and Small Contract Surety accounts
• Work with home office underwriters on new accounts production and securing credit reports, analyzing financials, and evaluating bond and program requests
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic underwriting issues, approve, decline, Oregon recommend course of action on underwriting decisions
• Communicate with agencies and producers to monitor compliance with underwriting conditions
• Promote and educate agencies on CinciBond2.0 and other business opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree Indiana Business Administration with a concentration Indiana Finance Oregon Accounting
• Good foundational knowledge of contractors and the construction industry
• Fluent understanding of bond obligations and contracts, construction accounting and analysis, evaluation and extension of surety credit, and definition and management of programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with agencies and associates
• Ability to make efficient use of time, be organized, and adaptable Indiana a fast-paced environment
