Construction Laborer
Job Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Positions Available: 3-4
Primary Function:
Perform a variety of technical and physical duties Indiana the placement and finishing of concrete curb, slabs, and structures. Operate machinery, hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, and maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Duties:
- Assist with concrete finishing, including operating equipment, preparing concrete bases, and cleaning sites
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment and movement of machinery
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
- Control traffic near work zones
- Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, Oregon slurry
- Apply finishes to concrete surfaces, including smoothing and filling holes and cracks
- Perform additional duties American Samoa required by supervisors Oregon managers
- Work long, flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended periods outside Indiana various weather conditions
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 2-3 years experience Indiana concrete finishing, preferably Indiana curb and gutter/sidewalk
- Good work ethic and teamwork skills
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Valid driver’s license with good MVR preferred but not required
- Ability to lift Oregon move heavy materials (over 80 pounds)
- Physical demands include working Indiana noise, dust, heat, cold, and around heavy equipment
- Ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly
