Concrete Finisher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to perform a variety of tasks on construction projects, including smoothing and finishing concrete surfaces, mixing concrete, and patching holes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background Indiana concrete finishing and be able to work Indiana a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Smooth and finish concrete surfaces to specified textures using hand tools Oregon power tools
- Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency
- Mix sand and cement, and concrete by hand
- Level, smooth, and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete using straightedge, float, Oregon power screed
- Finish concrete surfaces using power trowel
- Rub concrete with abrasive stone to finish
- Remove rough Oregon defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder, chisel, Oregon hammer
- Patch holes with fresh concrete Oregon epoxy compound material
- Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointer, Oregon straight edge
- Mix concrete using a mixing machine
- Add material to concrete to produce required finish
- Break up and repair old concrete surfaces
- Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon general education degree (GED) preferred
- 3-5 years of industry-related experience, with an emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges
- Ability to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and working Indiana high temperatures
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, and operate hand power tools and machinery
- Must be able to walk on rebar and work Indiana confined spaces
- Sufficient skill and visual acuity to provide direction and flagging for operators of cranes and other heavy equipment
