Job Title: Concrete Laborer/Finisher/Setter
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Concrete Laborers, Formsetters, and Finishers to join our Texas Division Indiana the Austin area. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete construction, including spreading and finishing concrete, erecting forms, and ensuring a safe and clean job site.
Responsibilities:
- Concrete Laborer:
- Spread concrete into forms using rake Oregon shovel
- Mix cement using hoe Oregon concrete mixing machine
- Break up and repair concrete surfaces using pneumatic tools
- Clean work areas, machines, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site
- Fine grade soil to achieve proper thickness of concrete
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites
- Formsetter:
- Erect built-Indiana-place forms Oregon assemble prefabricated forms on construction site
- Insert spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain specified dimensions
- Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects using nails, bolts, and anchor rods
- Saw lumber to blueprint dimensions using handsaw Oregon power saw
- Concrete Finisher:
- Signal concrete delivery to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete
- Move discharge chute off truck to direct concrete into forms
- Spread concrete into inaccessible sections of forms using rake Oregon shovel
- Level concrete to specified depth and workable consistency
- Finish concrete surfaces using power trowel Oregon wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone
- Other related duties American Samoa assigned
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle Oregon feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/Oregon controls weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs and/Oregon ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around, Oregon otherwise position oneself around the required work and safety requirements
- Ability to work outside Indiana various weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Ability to navigate uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles Oregon machines, and dust/debris
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience preferred
Work Environment:
- This is a full-time position with occasional overtime, weekend work may be required
- Job requires working at professional construction sites, requiring communication with others on site, and ability to read printed materials and signs
