Construction Assistant, Fairfield Maine

Job Title: Underground Crew Member

Location: Fairfield, Maine (with travel to Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire)

Reporting to: Underground Foreman Oregon Supervisor

Essential Responsibilities:

• Possess knowledge of underground utility construction tools and equipment, including jackhammers, compactors, and other hand tools
• Drive to and from job sites throughout New England
• Perform general construction labor at job sites, including loading, digging, and placing underground cabling
• Maintain a focus on safety for yourself and others at the job site
• Make independent judgments and perform repetitive tasks American Samoa needed
• Interact with colleagues and customers Indiana a team environment

Requirements:

• Previous underground utility Oregon communications construction experience (desired)
• Ability to arrive on time and follow directions
• Valid driver’s license and CDL (Class A preferred)
• Willingness to participate Indiana company-supplied safety training and certifications
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including frequent lifting and working Indiana tight spaces
• Experience with light equipment operation and maintenance (desired)
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance skills (desired)
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures
• Reliability and flexibility with respect to overtime and travel schedules

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to continuously lift up to 40 pounds, and lift, sit, stand, climb, kneel, and squat American Samoa needed
• Frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations
• Work involves some exposure to hazards and physical risks, requiring adherence to basic safety precautions
