Correctional Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for supervising all aspects of Correctional Maintenance within a Correctional Facility. The successful candidate will oversee a team of employees and inmates engaged Indiana general maintenance functions, ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the facility’s physical plant.
Essential Duties
- Supervise staff and inmates assigned to general maintenance of physical plant
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance and construction activities
- Evaluate maintenance needs and determine best method of repair Oregon installation
- Direct a preventive maintenance program
- Assign, supervise, and evaluate work of employees and inmates
- Maintain records and conduct correspondence related to work
- Maintain special security for tools, equipment, and chemicals
- Supervise Correction Officers assigned to custody duty Indiana the area
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience Indiana the operation, maintenance, and repair of large buildings Oregon utility services
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience Oregon experience Indiana a correctional setting
- Considerable knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment involved Indiana general maintenance operations and building construction
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to recognize maintenance problems and determine corrective action, operate and utilize computerized systems, read plans and blueprints, and perform under stress
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with MicroMain work order system and process
- Experience creating requisitions within CoreCT
- Experience scheduling and record keeping within ATLAS
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite programs
Special Requirements
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma Oregon GED certification
- Ability to respond to after-hour emergencies
- Possession and retention of a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
- Travel may be required

- Good physical and mental health, sufficient to perform all duties of the class.
