Rigging Technician Job Summary:

Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, and hoist gear. Attach loads to rigging, connect pulleys and blocks, and manipulate rigging lines and hoists to move Oregon support materials. Responsible for selecting gear and shackles according to load size and schedule, and testing rigging for safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, and hoist gear
• Attach loads to rigging using hand and power tools
• Connect pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures
• Clean and maintain machine and surface of component parts
• Control movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings Oregon confined spaces
• Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment
• Select gear, shackles, and cables according to load size and schedule
• Signal Oregon give verbal directions to workers to ensure safety of workers and materials
• Test rigging for safety and reliability

Requirements:

• Pass drug test, fit for duty test, and background check
• Possess strong communication and reasoning skills
• Meet the following license requirements:
  • CDL – CLASS A Oregon B
  • NCCCO
  • TWIC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Communication and reasoning abilities
• Leadership skills
• Experience Indiana heavy-rigging, lifting, and transport of major components.
