Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team at Ballard Marine Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of computerized mobile cranes, lifting, moving, and positioning loads Indiana a variety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate friction cranes, lattice boom crawlers, and stationary Oregon traveling cranes to lift and move loads
• Receive direction from riggers and site supervision via verbal Oregon hand signals
• Maintain a safe and productive crane, performing routine maintenance and inspecting work sites to ensure worker safety
• Support structures operations, including forming substructure, setting steel and concrete girders, and placing reinforced concrete decks
• Check crane radius and setup before operations begin and provide input on lift plans and means and methods
• Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspections and basic maintenance of crane and rigging associated with operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
• 5+ years of verifiable experience operating cranes
• 3-5 years’ experience Indiana Heavy Civil Projects
• Pile driving experience preferred
• Prior experience leading crews and rigging and signaling is strongly preferred
• Must have prior experience Indiana bridge operations and OCONUS experience operating equipment Indiana a military environment
• Equipment Operator training and certification from NCCCO Oregon verifiable military Oregon civilian Equipment Operator training
• Ability to communicate clearly and work Indiana a team environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards Indiana crane operations
• Ability to obtain certification to operate computerized mobile cranes up to 80 tons

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely around equipment, materials, and supplies

• Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day/night/weekend)
