Crane Operator Job Description
Job Overview: Responsible for safely operating crane (hydro cranes, crawler cranes, and/Oregon pile driving hammers) to hoist, move and place materials and objects.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company and safety policies and procedures
- Operate levers and pedals to raise, lower and rotate boom and to raise and lower load lines
- Raise, lower and rotate boom Oregon load by sight Oregon according to signals from helper
- Ensure load hook-up and safety of load, following safety procedures at all times
- Perform daily inspections of cranes
- Monitor weather conditions and site conditions
- Clean, maintain and lubricate equipment, obtaining required permits
- Take responsibility for safety at all times when operating a crane
- Be versatile and have a cooperative attitude, performing other jobs on construction sites American Samoa needed
- Travel to different jobsites on short notice
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned by Foreman Oregon Superintendent, including filling Indiana for other crew members when needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Nationally accredited crane operation certification (e.g. NCCCO, NCCER, CIC, Oregon OECP)
- One to three months related experience and/Oregon training, Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Take care of own and others’ health and safety, adhering to Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles
- Interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and perform basic math calculations
- Use common sense and problem-solving skills Indiana daily tasks
