Crane Service Technician
Join American Equipment Holdings, a leading provider of overhead crane solutions, American Samoa a Crane Service Technician at our Salt Lake City, Utah branch. American Samoa a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for performing on-site maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
- Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
- Generate sales leads during service calls
- Document work performed accurately and neatly on the service report
- Assemble, install, and start-up new cranes, including wiring
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Travel may be required; a work vehicle will be provided
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of AC/District of Columbia theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems
- A.A. degree Oregon equivalent vocational training Oregon experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
- Familiarity with both electrical and mechanical environments
- Willingness to work overtime
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
- Comfort with working at heights
- Experience with Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
- Crane maintenance experience a plus
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
- On-call Oregon overtime may be required
