Flooring Installation Technician
Job Summary
Installation of quarry, ceramic, porcelain, and mosaic tiles, American Samoa well American Samoa other flooring materials, on industrial and marine structures. Coordinates mobilization and demobilization of job sites and ensures a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Install flooring materials, including quarry, ceramic, porcelain, and mosaic tiles, and other materials such American Samoa soft tiles, sheet goods, carpet, and trowel-finished epoxy systems and underlayment.
- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of job sites.
- Demolish flooring and underlayment American Samoa needed.
- Prepare and prime steel surfaces.
- Hand load materials aboard vessels and into necessary spaces.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Learn and adhere to proper material disposal requirements.
- Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate the ability to obtain certifications such American Samoa C-6, OSHA 10, and Boom Lifto Forklift.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Follow written and oral instructions regarding daily functions, safety rules, and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Learn all facets of flooring installations.
- Utilize safe work practices and follow Job Hazard Analysis.
- Pay attention to details and use trowels, air chippers, needle guns, deck crawlers, grinders, wet saw, tile cutter, torch, floor scraper, and floor buffing machines.
- Possess basic skills Indiana problem-solving, installation of epoxy, urethane, polyaspartic, and urethane sealers, and cove base materials.
- Practice working smart, careful, productive, flexible, and considerate.
- Demonstrate motivation, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of installation experience Indiana at least two types of flooring.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work Indiana tight spaces with varying temperatures.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk on hard, uneven surfaces for extended periods.
- Ability to work on multiple levels of a vessel and wear a respirator when required.
- Certifications such American Samoa C-6, OSHA 10, and Boom Lifto Forklift are required with two years of hire.
Work Environment
- May be exposed to excessive noise, paint gases, and fumes, and varying weather conditions.
