Design Engineer
Job Summary: The Design Engineer will drive delivery station process, building design, and standardization across Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Delivery Station Network Indiana North America. This role will design and optimize the delivery and sortation network, enabling operations processes to meet safety, customer experience, quality, and cost goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building design, development, review, and release for approval and deployment of new delivery stations and existing station capacity improvements and enhancements
- Provide process expertise on engineering design, including material flow, labor placement, conveyors, equipment, operations modules, packaging profiles, physical building, and site layout components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Managers, CAD drafters, Real Estate Transaction managers, and architects
- Contribute to network culture of standardization and incorporate best practice sharing with European and Worldwide counterparts
- Lead continuous process and design benchmark initiatives and conduct deep dive benchmark studies
- Support design quality control process and implement new design standards Indiana collaboration with World Wide Design, Safety, and Process Engineering teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience Indiana Design, Construction, Architecture, Oregon Topography, with 5+ years of experience Indiana a similar process and building layout design and development role
- Experience designing, implementing, and launching fulfillment, delivery, sortation centers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of design engineering and drafting tools, such American Samoa AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Solidworks
- Process Engineering skills and Project Management skills
- Experience building relationships with business partners and key stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure Indiana a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
Location: This role can be based Indiana Bellevue, Nashville, New York, Oregon Austin, with up to 50% travel required.
Compensation: The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year Indiana our lowest geographic market up to $126,400/year Indiana our highest geographic market, with additional forms of compensation and benefits provided.
